Berea National Rib Cookoff | Cleveland, OH | Memorial Day

The Berea City Club is excited to present the 2010 Cook-Off. We have lots of great music lined up for the long weekend.

Friday night is Bike Night, so bring out your Harley, grab a cold one, and eat some of the finest ribs in the country while enjoying the music of Laredo, Stone Pony, and Lawless. If you’re bringing a bike, you can pull right into the fairgrounds and park in our bike corral.

Saturday we’ll be featuring Dashboard Lights, The Girls Band, and Breakfast Club.

Sunday, we have the Clayton Brothers, The Curve, and The Spazmatics, while on Monday we’re featuring The New Century Beatniks and Aftermath.

And remember, if you’re looking to celebrate a great American holiday with some great ribs and music, the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds is the place to be in Cleveland Memorial Day weekend!

STUFF FOR KIDS: Berea’s National Rib Cook-Off has lots of fun stuff for kids to do, including a rock climbing wall, mechanical bull, and inflatable rides. Besides, kids love nothing more than dispensing with the knife and fork, and slopping themselves up with rib sauce. Our apologies to whoever does their laundry… but hey, it’s worth it to watch your children have such a blast.
As an extra incentive to encourage families to get out during the weekend, we’ve dramatically slashed ticket prices for children under 12. In fact, were we to slash them any more, we’d owe you money (translation: kids under 12 get in free all weekend!).
‘TIS TIP:  The Berea Rib Cook-off is a great, cheaper alternative to the Marc’s Rib Cook-off downtown.  It’s also extremely family and kid friendly.

ACTIVITIES:

Miss Berea PrincessSaturday, 12-2:30pm

Bike Night, featuring Time Trax  & Cruisin’ (Sponsored by Harley Davidson) – Friday night the fairgrounds will roar with the rolling thunder of a hundred dust kicking hogs, while crowds likewise roar for local favorites Laredo, Stone Pony, and Lawless. That’s right, it’s Bike Night, sponsored by Cleveland’s Harley-Davidson Sales Company. Bikers are invited to bring their bikes right inside the gate, but must enter through the main entrance (Gate 5, off Bagley Road). From there, riders will be directed to a special parking area (hog pen) right on the midway, so they can enjoy the food and entertainment without worrying about their rides.
Killer bikes, awesome live music, and some of the best barbecue in the world. It couldn’t get any better than that… unless of course we were to offer free admission. Okay, Friday night ADMISSION IS FREE! Now it really couldn’t get any better… unless perhaps we were to offer free ribs? …Well, we aren’t, so it’s not going to get any better — but still, when times are tight and pocketbooks light, free admission and entertainment makes for a pretty good night.
Cleveland Country Night - Saturday Night  FEATURING LAWLESS
Saturday, the Cook-Off will bring a little country to the city with Cleveland Country Night, featuring Lawless, Laredo, and the Whiskey Outlaw Band.
Sauce, Sixties n’ Soul Night – Monday Night FEATURING NEW CENTURY BEATNIKS & AFTERMATH
The fairgrounds will be rockin’ Monday night as Berea’s National Rib Cook-Off welcomes local sensations The New Century Beatniks to baste your senses with some tasty music.
